The four concepts submitted to The Mint for the Oregon quarter

• A covered wagon, the Oregon Trail and wagon ruts in the foreground, a mountain range in the background and a type of Native American lodging on one side.
• A Chinook salmon, leaping and arching, left to right, near a waterfall with a Douglas fir on the left shore.
• A view of Crater Lake from the south rim, with Wizard Island to the left, Douglas firs and/or Ponderosa pines and an inscription in block letters that says "Crater Lake."
